ああ，いい天気だな。
What great weather.
太陽はさんさんと輝いて，万物が躍動している感じだ。
The sun is shining brightly and everything seems to be full of life.
生きているということは，すばらしいことだ！
It's great to be alive!
こんないい天気なのに，夕方は雨が降るなんて，ちょっと信じられないな。
With such great weather, it's hard to believe that it's going to rain later on.
８時を過ぎた。
It's past eight.
早くバスが来ないと遅れるぞ。
If the bus doesn't hurry up, I'll be late.
なかなかバスが来ないな。
The bus is late.
どうしたんだろう？
I wonder what happened.
事故でもあったのかな。
Maybe there was an accident.
これはいけない。
This is pretty bad.
ほんとうに遅れちゃうぞ。
I really am going to be late.
タクシーに乗ろうかな。
I'll catch a cab.
そのタクシーも来ないぞ。
No taxis either.
けさはツイてないな。
I'm really out of luck this morning.
あ，バスが来た！
Oh, here comes the bus!
やっと来たぞ！助かった。
Finally! I'm saved.
これに乗ろう。
I've got to get on it.
おや，えらく込んでいるじゃないか。
It's really crowded.
もしかすると乗れないかもしれないぞ。
I may not be able to get on.
ああ，行っちゃった！
Hey, it didn't stop!
超満員だ。
It was packed.
あれじゃ止まるはずはないや。
No wonder the bus didn't stop.
ええいチキショウめ！
Damn!
いやいや，バスを恨んでもしかたがない。
Oh well, it's no use getting mad at the bus.
ぼくがもっと早く家を出てればよかったんだ。
I should have left home earlier.
あ，またバスが来た！
Here comes another bus.
こんどはすいているようだ。よし，これなら乗れるぞ。
It's not crowded so I can get on.
