ああ，腹が減った！
Wow! I'm starved.
さあ，食事に出かけよう。
I guess I'll go out for lunch.
その前に，ちょっと手を洗っておこう。
First, I'd better wash my hands.
外はいい天気だなあ。
Great weather out.
きょうはどこで食事しようかな。
I wonder where I'll have lunch today.
丸の内のマイヤリングにするかな。
How about the Myering in the Marunouchi.
いや，待てよ。きょうは銀座へ個展を見に行くから，東京駅から電車で有楽町へ出ることにするか。
No, wait. If I'm going to the exhibit in the Ginza today, it'd be better to go to Yurakucho by train from Tokyo Station.
よし，それにきめよう。
Okay, that's what I'll do.
そうときまったら，急がなくちや。時間は１時までしかないんだ。
I'd better hurry because I only have an hour (for lunch).
おや，手ふき用の紙がないぞ。
Hey, there aren't any paper towels.
さあ，エレベーターに乗ろう。
Now to the elevator.
どうも，このエレベーターはおそいな。
This elevator's awfully slow.
もっと早く動いたらいいのに。
If only it would move a little faster.
そんな妙な顔をして見なさんな。
You don't have to give me such a strange look.
ぼくは，別段気が狂っているんじゃないんだ。
I haven't lost my mind or anything like that.
あ，もう12時10分だ。
It's already ten after twelve.
急がないと時間がなくなるぞ。
If I don't hurry up, there won't be any time left.
ああ，外は暑いなあ。
It's hot.
これじゃ汗をかくぞ。上着を脱ごう。
I'll probably perspire so I'd better take off my jacket.
カッコいい駅だが，もう古めかしいな。
It's an impressive station, but it's too old.
近代的な大きなビルに建て直すといいのに。
They should tear it down and put up a modern building instead.
丸の内側は人が少なくて静かでいいんだが，八重洲側へ出ると，すごく込んでいるんだ。
The Marunouchi side is quiet and not crowded at all, but if you go out the Yaesu side, it's packed with people.
ほう，ちょうど電車が入って，これはいい。
Great timing. The train just pulled in.
昼間だというのに，あまりすいていないな。
It's not very empty considering that it's only the middle of the day.
とにかく東京は人が多いんだ。
Tokyo is so crowded.
でもニューヨークやロンドンだって同じようなものだ。
But then, New York and London aren't much different.
さあ，有楽町へ着いたぞ。
Here we are - Yurakucho.
日劇のそばを通るか，それとも交通会館の左側を通るか，どっちにしようかな。
I wonder whether to go by the Nichigeki or down the left side of the Kotsukaikan.
そうだ，先に食事をするほうがいいから，こっちの方向へ行こう。
It'd be better to finish lunch first, so I'll go this way.
昼食時だから会社員がたくさん出歩いているんだな。
It's right in the middle of the lunch hour, so there are lots of company employees out walking around.
まず，このあたりで食事をしよう。
First to have lunch somewhere around here.
どこへ入ろうかな。
I wonder where to go?
そうだ，ニュートーキョーがいい。
I know, I'll go to the New Tokyo.
あそこは中が広いから空席があるだろう。
It's spacious inside so there's sure to be an empty table.
日本人は信号をよく守るなあ。
Japanese really pay attention to traffic signals.
ニューヨークやロンドンでは，こうはいかないんだ。
It's nothing like New York or London.
このあたりへ来ると美人が多いなあ。
There are lots of pretty girls around here.
ファッションも板についてるよ。
Not only that, but they really know how to dress.
外人も多いなあ。
Lots of Caucasians, too.
観光客かな。
Wonder if they're tourists.
