CHAPTER I

細胞から細胞へ伝わる想念波動──記憶は不滅
Cell to Cell Impressions

現在世界には四〇億を超える人間が生活していますので──その全部がある程度思考しつつあるのですが──私たちはたしかに想念の海の中に住んでいるのだということが容易にわかります。
Since there are over two-and-a-half billion people living in the world today - all of them thinking to some degree - we can readily see that we live in a veritable sea of thought.

人間の心から放たれる想念を私たちは感受するばかりでなく、人間の肉体の細胞も、自然をつくりあげているすべての細胞もたえず想念を発しているために、私たちはこれらが発する印象をも感受しているのです。
Not only do we receive thoughts from human minds, but since the cell structures of their bodies and all the cells that make up nature, are constantly broadcasting, we also receive impressions from these sources.

この大きな事実について私たちの考えをさらに発展させるためには、”宇宙”全体に永遠の混合と融合があることを知らねばなりません。
To augment our conception of the immensity of this truth, we must realize that there is a perpetual blending and an interblending throughout the whole of the Cosmos.

そこで当然のことながらひきつづいて問題となるのは、惑星間には想念波動の交流があるということなのですが、
Therefore, it naturally follows that there is an intermingling of thought frequencies between the worlds.

この点はあとの章でくわしく検討してみることにしましょう。
We will discuss this phase more fully in a later chapter.

たえず私たちをおそっているこの想念波動の組み合わせには想像を絶するものがありますが、私たちが一時に一つの波動だけをとり入れるならば、それは理解しやすくなります。
While this combination of thought vibrations bombarding us at all times staggers the imagination, if we take one vibration at a time it becomes understandable.

想念または激しい感情が──感情は強烈な想念のあらわれであることを忘れてはいけません──いかに物質に浸透するものであるかということについては、家屋の雰囲気をとりあげてもすぐわかります。
A common example of how thought, or violent emotion - bear in mind that emotion is the expression of strong thought - will impregnate itself upon matter, can be found in the atmosphere of a dwelling.
