想念については、それは光のスパークのように中心からあらゆる方向ヘ無数の波動を放射することがわかっています。
We find that in the case of thought, like the spark of light, vibrations proceed outwardly from it in all directions.
人間はある印象の放射線のいずれにも同調し、その想念全部を感受することができます。
We can tune in on any radiation of that impression, and receive the full thought.
したがって、一般で信じられている説はまちがっているのであって、実際には、すべての人を除いて特定な個人だけに直接に想念を送ることは不可能なのです。
Therefore, contrary to current belief ... it is not possible to transmit a thought directly to any one individual, to the exclusion of everyone else!
なぜなら、想念伝達の媒体である”心”は空聞と物質のすべてに遍満しているため、想念波動が排除されるような場所は存在しないからです。

I believe a good illustration of this occurred during a lecture I once gave.
これについてはかつて私の講演中によい実例が起こりました。どうしてイメージや声が無言で心にやってくるのかという問題をちょうど説明し終わったとき、聴衆の中から一人の男が立ちあがって発言し、はっきりと語るある声を聞いたというのです。
I had just finished explaining how the images and voices came silently to the mind, when a man in the audience rose and interrupted, saying he heard voices speaking distinctly.
それは聞きとれる声で、声なき声を感受したのとは全然ちがうと彼は強く主張しました。
He was very insistent that these were audible, and his reception was not in the least silent.
そこで私はたずねました。「私があなたの傍に立っていれば同じ声が聞こえるでしょうか」
I then asked him, "If I were standing beside you, would I hear the same voices?"
「もちろん聞こえません」と彼はためらうことなく答えて、
"Of course not," he answered without hesitation;
それから恥ずかしそうに笑いました。
then grinned, sheepishly.
"「あなたのお話の意味がいまわかりました」といって彼は座りました。
"Now I understand what you mean"" he said, and sat down."
The voices were audible to him, but not to those around him.
他のだれかが同じ想念波動に同調することができたら、その人もまたその想念を感受したことでしょう。
Yet, if a person were to tune in on the same thought frequency he, too, would receive the same thought.
多くの科学上の発見が世界各地でほとんど同時になされる有様をみますと、右のきわめてよい例をあげることができます。
A very good example of this may be found in the way many of our scientific discoveries are made almost simultaneously in separate parts of the world.
