テレパシーの感受には関心が重要

この研究における私たちの目的は、一定の地点からいかに遠方ヘ私たちは働きかけることができるか、ということを解明するにあります。
Our aim in this study is to discover how far out we can work from any given point.

私たちは宇宙を人間の意識と同位に引きよせようとするのではなく、人間の意識を個人的なエゴからそむけさせて宇宙的なものにしようとしているのです。
We are not trying to draw the universe into the level of the human consciousness, but to turn the human consciousness away from the personal self, that it may become universal.

それゆえ、真実の感覚人としての発達とテレパシー通信の感受は精神集中にあるのではなく、関心にあるのです。
So the development of the true sense-man, and the reception of telepathic communication, does not depend upon concentration ... but upon interest.

精神集中と関心とのあいだには大変な相違があります。
A very great difference exists between the two.

精神集中は、固定した、すなわち不動の状態であり、それが一定の時間にただ一つの考えだけを浮かべさせるのですが、
Concentration is a fixed, or set condition, which allows only one idea to manifest at any given time.

関心はその周囲のあらゆる考えにたいして真実の意識を開く好奇心の状態であって、このようにして自由な状態のままにあらゆる考えと公平な関係を生じるのです。
Interest is a state of curiosity which opens real consciousness to all ideas around it, and in this way actually creates an impersonal participation with them in a free state.
