ころがる石は磨かれる
人間の立派な能力の真の美しさはコケで覆われて見えなくなっています。
The real beauty of man's finer abilities has become covered with moss and lost to his vision.
なぜなら人間が見得るものはコケだけであり、それは他の生物の体に宿っている寄生虫であるからです。
For all that he can see is the moss which is a parasite that lives on the body of another form.
このコケとは真実の人間を覆っている人間の各種の習慣にひとしいものです。
This is equivalent to human habits that cover the real man.
ころがる石は多くの困難な事や大きさが倍もある岩に突きあたって、苦痛に耐えたり自己の一部を失ったりしながらも、それはころがり続けます。
While the rolling rock may come up against many problems and rocks twice its size and endure pain while bumping against them and losing parts of itself, it keeps on rolling.
そしてついには高度に磨かれて、色光や成分である無機物を示します。
And finally it it polished to a high degree and shows the colors and minerals of which it is made.
石によっては、親和の法則によって無機物が互いに結合する場合、美しいデザインが形成されます。
And in some rocks beautiful designs are formed when the minerals by the law of affinity adhere to one another.
これを成すには長い年月を要するでしょうが、忍耐と決意とによって人間はたえず増大する精妙さのなかにこの美を表現することができるのです。
It may take ages to do this, but through patience and determination a human can express this beauty in ever increasing fineness.
そして”神の国の救世主”になるのです。
And thus become The Christ in God's Kingdom.
そこで生命の探求者がまず成さねばならぬことは、”原因と結果”についてのたえまなき知覚力を養うことにあります。
So the first thing a student of life should do is to cultivate the ever present awareness of Cause and Effect.
そうすれば心は過去に見てきたとおりの形態物を見るのみならず形態物の不可視な支持者のことを意識に語らせるでしょう。
Where not only the mind will see the form as it has in the past, but also it will permit the consciousness to reveal the invisible supporter of the form.
それは目に見えない動力発生部のすべてを充分に知覚しながら車を運転するようなものです。
It will be like driving a car with full awareness of all of its working parts which produces the power, that the sight does not see.
本講座をあなたはただ読むだけではほとんど価値がなく、むしろ日常の刻々の実行が効果をもたらします。
