偉大なバーバンクのテレパシー

あらゆる自然はさまざまの度合いに英知を表しています。なぜなら自己が創造された目的を表現しない物はなく、そのような砂一粒といえども存在しないからです。
All nature is expressing intelligence in varying degrees, for there is not a form, even a grain of sand, that does not express the purpose for which it was created, even better than man.

砂は人間よりも巧みにそれを表現しています。ほっそりとした若枝が最初は草の葉として、宇宙の力を応用し、それを指導する英知に従いながら硬い土地の中から出てきます。
A blade of grass as a tender shoot will come through the hard crust of the earth as it uses the power of the cosmos and obeys the intelligence that directs it.

しかし人間が硬い土地の中へそのままもぐり込むことは困難です。
Yet man finds it difficult to penetrate a hard surface.

人間は現在持っている知能のすべてをもってしても、リンゴその他の果実がどのようにして一つの花からそんなに成熟するかに関する正確な解答を出すことはできません。
With all of the intelligence we have today, no man can give the exact answer of how an apple or any fruit became such from a flower.

このことは人間の知能が高いとは言っても、創造主である自然界に現れている物にくらべれば、まだとるに足りないものであることを示しています。
This shows us that as great as man's intelligence is, it is still puney compared to what is manifesting in nature, the expression of the Creator.

ルーザー・バーバンク（訳注＝一八四九－一九二六年。アメリカの植物改良家。ジャガイモ、トマト、ブドウなどのほか多数の新種を作り出した）は、いみじくも次のように言っています。「自然が私に植物改良の知識を与えてくれたのである」
Luther Burbank expressed himself well when he said that nature gave him the knowledge of how to improve upon vegetation.

また彼は創造主とともに働き、創造物を通じて創造主と直面したとも述べています（訳注＝このような発言のために神に対する冒涜者として教会関係者から非難された。彼は人間のテレパシー能力を信じ、自分でもその能力を発揮して、植物とテレパシーによる会話を行なっていたという）。
He stated that he was working with the Creator, and through His creation he saw Him face to face.

人間は真の教師すなわち万物の意識の指導のもとへ帰るまでは、現在耐え忍んでいる骨折り仕事や自分を巻き込んでいる混乱などから絶対に解放されません。
Man will never be free from the drudgery he now is enduring, and the confusion in which he finds himself, until he returns unto the true teacher, the conscious director of all creation.

We live in and are a part of its manifestation.

右のことをわれわれにもたらすものは祈りやマントラや瞑想などではありません（訳注＝マントラとはヒンドゥー教の祈祷）。
It is not the prayers, the mantrums or the meditations that will bring this to us.

心という結果に頼らないで、原因としての完全な意識的実体に生まれかわることによってもたらされるのです。
But a re-birth into a fully conscious being of cause instead of the mental effect.

言いかえればわれわれは学習の過程を逆転させる必要があるのです。
In other words we must reverse the process of our learning.

心のエゴとして心で気づくかわりに、過去に心が心自体に気づいていたように、今度は心が意識に気づくようにならねばなりません。
Instead of being mentally aware as an ego of the mind ― the mind must become aware of consciousness, as it has in the past of itself.

意識的な知覚力こそ心にとって知識の貯蔵庫の錠をはずすカギであるのです。
For conscious awareness is the key that unlocks the storehouse of knowledge to the mind.

それは創造主と創造物のあいだをつなぐ輪です。
It is the link between the Creator and creation.

ひとたび人間がこのことに気づいて日常それを応用するならば、人間はもはや物事を複雑にしなくなり、みずから創造主との一体性を感じるでしょう。
Once man realizes this and makes daily use of it, he will no longer complicate things and he will feel himself one with his creator.

金星人や他の惑星の住民はこのことを実行していて、そのために現在のように自分たちを進化させています。
The Venusians and others have done this, thus enabling them to advance as they have.

彼らは自然とたたかわないで、その法則を理解することによってそれと融合しているのです。
They do not fight nature ― but blend with it by understanding its laws.

この理由で彼らは自分たちの惑星をも含むあらゆる現象を神の創造として尊ぶわけです。
For this reason they honor all manifestations including their planet, as a Divine creation.

彼らは、創造主は創造主自身よりも劣るものを創造することはできないという考え方を生かしています。
They live the thought that a creator could not create anything lesser than himself.

そして万物にたいしてもこの感じを持ちながら、いたる所に現れている神性を見るのです。
And with this feeling towards all nature they see Divinity expressing everywhere.

ルーザー・バーバンクが言ったように、彼ら異星人は創造主に直面します。
As Luther Burbank said, they see the Creator face to face.

こうして彼らは互いに役立ちあっている万物の相互関係と目的とを学び、それによって創造主に役立つのです。
Thus they learn the relationship and purpose of all manifestations serving each other and thereby serving the creator.

次の第４講ではこの相互関係を説明しましょう。

混乱をなくそうとするのならば理解することが重要です。
It is important to understand if confusion is to be eliminated.

読者におすすめしたいのは、あらゆる行為または想念の背後に存在する真の自我である意識について、あなたはますます意識的になりなさいということだけです。
All that is asked of any one is to become more and more conscious of consciousness which is the true self behind every act or thought.

In plain, give the consciousness the recognition you have been giving the ego mind, in everything you do or see.

あらゆる行為や言葉の背後にある不可視の英知に気づきなさい。
Be aware of the invisible intelligence behind every act and word.

そうすればついにはそれが自動的に行なわれるようになります。
By doing this it will eventually become automatic for you.

あなたがもっと広い生命界を楽しみ、理解し始めれば、自分が進歩していることがわかります。
When you begin to enjoy and understand a broader field of life you will know that you are progressing.

そしてこれまでよりももっと早くアイデアや考えがわき起こってくるでしょう。
And ideas and thought will be coming faster than you have ever known before.

「信じられない」という立場からすべてを疑わないで、あらゆる想念や行為を分析して、それらが前もって考えられた心の反応にすぎないか、それとも意識的な反応なのかを調べてみなさい。
Do not question anything from the standpoint of disbelief, but make an analysis of every thought and act to see if it was a premeditated mental reaction or a conscious one.

そしてその想念や行為が他との関係においてあなたの生活にふさわしいかどうかを調べてごらんなさい。
And where it fits into your life in relationship to others.

すぐれた性質の音楽に留意するのと同様に、あなたの心をよりすぐれた性質の生命体にできるだけ向けるようにしなさい。
Keep your mind as much as possible on the finer qualities of life, as you would on a fine quality of music.

これを日常行なえば進歩しないわけにはゆかないのです。
And if you do this daily you cannot help but make progress.
