心は意識から教わることができる

帰りの宇宙旅行において私は以前と同様に装置類に興味を持ちましたが、
On the return trip I became interested in the instruments as before.

そのときは心は忍耐強くなっていて、意識によって与えられる説明を受け入れる準備ができていました。
But then the mind was patient and ready to receive the explanation given it by the consciousness.

それはもとの好奇心ではなくて、知識を求めようという欲求で満ちていました。
It was not filled with the original curiosity, but a desire for knowledge.

教室で何ら疑問を起こすことなしに理解してゆく子供のようなものです。
Like a child in a classroom who understands without questioning.

そのような気分でもって私は船内各装置の複雑な部分やその目的に充分に気づくようになりました。
In that frame of mind I became fully aware of the intricate parts of the instruments and their purpose.

そして私自身が各部分の一部であるかのごとき感じが起こり、私の目的が他との協力にあるのだと感じたのです。
And I had the feeling of being a part of each part, and felt my purpose of being in cooperation with others.

このことはきわめてはっきりしていましたが、そのときの私の気持をうまく説明する言葉はいま見あたりません。
This was so clear, but I cannot find words to illustrate my feeling.

しかし鮮烈な印象を受けましたので、その体験を忘れることはできません。
It was so definitely impressed upon me that I cannot forget the experience.

けれども、そのことを話しただけで、もう一度その感じが楽しくわき起こってきます。
Even as I speak of it I enjoy the feeling once again.

これは私の宇宙旅行で記憶している体験のほんの一部にすぎません。船内にあったすべての物や人々との交わりもけっして忘れることのできない一体感に満ちていました。
This is only one of the experiences I remember from the trip, for the association with all that were on the ship was also a feeling of oneness, never to be forgotten.

そしてこの心と意識との一体化は私を運んでいた船体をも包括していました。
And this union of sense mind and consciousness included the ship which was carrying us.

というのは、私の肉体の意識的実体である各分子は船体の意識的な分子と一体化していたからです。
For the molecules, the conscious entities of my form, became one with the conscious molecules of the ship's form.

しかし各物体の幾何学的な型は異なっており、結果の世界においては異なる目的を有しています。
Yet the geometrical pattern of each form was different, and for a different purpose in the field of effects.

だが、”因”は同じです。各物体は宇宙の目的に役立っているからです。
But the cause was the same, for each form was serving a cosmic purpose.

言いかえれば、私は、自分が意識的に理解したいと思った部分が意識によって作られていることに気づくことによって、私自身がその部分になったわけです。
In other words, I became the part that I wished to understand consciously, by realizing that the part was made by consciousness.

いかなる物体の分子や細胞もその物の生命である意識が与えられているからです。
For molecules and cells in any form are endowed with consciousness which is the life of the thing.

この生命によって維持されていない分子は存在しません。維持されていなければ存在しないでしょう。
There is not a particle in existance that is not supported by life ― or it would not be in existance.

ちょうどあなたが他人の靴をはいてみて、その持主の気持がわかるのと同様に、万物にたいしてもそれがやれるのです。
Just as you are able to put yourself in another persons shoes and feel exactly as he feels, so you can with all forms.

これは実行するのによい方法です。
And this procedure is good to practice.

これによれば多くの誤解や心痛を排除することができます。
It could eliminate many misunderstandings and heartaches.

意識を通じて関連し合っていない物は存在しないからです。
For there is nothing in existance that one cannot be associated with through consciousness.

しかし心が意識から教わることに積極的になる必要があります。意識こそ万事を知る者であり、万物は意識の海の中で生きているからです。
But the sense mind must be willing to be taught by consciousness, for it is the knower and all forms live within the sea of it.

そしてこの海の中に万物が”全宇宙”の完全な表現を求めて一体化されています。
And in this sea all phases are blended into one for the perfect manifestation of the Cosmic Whole.

万物は英知の各段階にあります。
All forms are stages of intelligence.

生命体の九〇パーセントは人間が持っているようなタイプの心を持たないために、このことを認めるのは初めは容易でないかもしれません。
This may not be easy to accept at first for 90% of form life does not have the type of mind that humans have.

しかしあらゆる生命体は意識を持っています。それは各個体の生命力であって、自己が創造された目的に役立っています。
But they do possess consciousness ― the life force of the form, and serve the purpose for which they were created.

したがって、ひとたび人間の心が他の個体の心と関連しながらこの面を認めるとき、混合が行なわれるのです。
So once the human mind acknowledges this phase as it does associations with other sense minds, the blend is made.

第７講では二人の人間が一定期間の親密な関係を保った後、外観や行動が似てくる現象を説明しました。
In lesson seven we illustrated how two people after a period of association began to look and act alike.

この調和した結合はあらゆる生命体でもできます。
This harmonious union can also be cultivated with all life.
