二人の人間の一体化
このよい例は、生活を共にしようと決めた二人の人間に見出されます。
A good example of this can be found in two people who decide to join together for life.
両人とも、各自の生き方の中にそれぞれ異なる習慣を持つ人間ですが、何年かをともに生活した後は、互いに相手の習慣を身につけ合うのみならず、両方が相似た人間になり始めます。
Each is an individual with habits in his or her way of life, yet after years of life together they not only take on each others habits but they start to look alike.
これはまったく両者が一体であるかのように相手を知覚しあうようになるからです。
All because they have become aware of one another as though they were one.
犬やネコなどの動物でさえも主人の個性をまねたりすることがあります。
Even pets, such as dogs and cats etc., of times take on the personality of the master.
そこで結局、たえず気になるような人または物が身辺にあると、それは（気になる物事は）そのまま相手の自動的な現象となり、もはや努力は必要となくなることがわかります。人間は記憶している手本に基づいて行動するからです。
So we can see that a constant reminder or association becomes an automatic manifestation of the other, where effort is no longer required for the form operates on memory pattern.
ここで気づかねばならぬ最も重要な事は、その記憶している手本は、それに似せて人間の個性を作り直すということです。
The most important thing, to realize is that the pattern remodeled the personality of the form in likeness of itself.
その場合、本人はもう元のままではなく、他人が本人にとってかわったとも言えるでしょう。
It could be said that the original person is no more as he was, but another has taken his place.
一方が他方を吸収してしまって両者は一体化したのです。
For one has absorbed the other and the two become as one.
以上ここでは互いに密接な関係にある二人の人間を例にあげましたが、これはまた大勢が同じ手本を応用する場合に一人だけを代表者にする例にもなります。
While we have used two individuals in close association with each other, this can take place where many are represented by one when using the same pattern.
このことは、われわれが神と呼んでいる意識なるものは全包容的であることを示しています。
This shows that the consciousness whom we call God, is the all inclusive.
二人の人間が親密になることによって一体化し、互いに相似てくるのと同様に、一個人はエゴのかわりに常に神（意識）というものを考えるならば、いつか神と一体化し、神に似てくることになるのです。
And as two people are able to become as one through association and even resemble each other, just so, an individual can become one with, and resemble God, when he thinks in terms of God instead of the ego.
しかし本人の個人性は存続します。ただ普通の人間と違うのは、本人の心がわれわれが神と呼ぶ知覚されている意識と混和しているという点です。
Yet he retains his individuality, the difference is that his sense mind has blended with conscious consciousness that we call God.
その場合の心は従来どおりに日常の仕事を遂行しますが、結果（現象）の世界において賢明に行動するための力と英知とをそれに（心に）与えている意識なるものの存在に本人は気づいています。
The sense mind is able to perform its normal duty as it did in the past but it is aware of the consciousness that gives it power and intelligence to act wisely in the world of effects.
すると心はイエスが次のように述べた言葉の意味と同じ感じを持つことになります。「私がするのではなく、父が私を通じてなし給うのだ」。
The mind will then feel as Jesus felt when He said, I of Myself do nothing, but the Father that worketh through Me does all of the work.
これが”宇宙的意識”です。
This is cosmic consciousness.
