機械のかわりに意識眼を用いること

このことは、意識は人間の心を指導するのにけっして誤らないことを示しています。ただし意識にまかせるならばです。そうすれば印象類は何らゆがめられることなく感受されるのです。
This shows that consciousness does not misguide the human mind if it is allowed to guide it, and impressions are received and accepted without modification to suit itself.

これこそ意識が、その印象が正しいということを心に証明できる唯一の方法です。
For this is the only way that consciousness can prove to the mind that its impressions are correct.

しかし宇宙のすべてを人間に知らしめるような機械はけっしてできないでしょう。
But there will never be an instrument made that will reveal all of the Cosmos to man.

心と対になっている意識こそが宇宙全体に関して人間が知るための唯一の道具です。
Consciousness coupled with man's mind is the only way that man will learn about the cosmic whole.

なぜなら、これまでに使用されてきた機械装置類は、結局、心にたいして意識の指導を信頼させることになるからです。
For now the instruments that have been used should cause the mind to have confidence, faith and trust in conscious guidance.

心は、かつて存在しないと思われた物が実在していることが判明したという過去の観測や体験を通じて学んでいます。
The mind should have learned through past observations and experiences that that which at one time seemed nonexistant became a reality.

感受される印象によって洩らされる事柄はどこかに存在するからです。
For anything that is revealed by conscious impressions is in existance some where.

ですから心はこれまでのように自身に頼るかわりに、すすんで意識から指導を受けねばなりません。
So now the mind should be willing to be guided by consciousness instead of itself as in the past.

そして宇宙の意識から与えられる事柄を真実なるものとして受け入れるべきです。
And accept the things given by Cosmic Consciousness as a reality.

これこそ心がその半身を見出して全宇宙の一部分になるための唯一の方法です。
For this is the only way that the sense mind can find its other half and become a part of the whole of the Cosmos.

イエスは言っています。「見なくても信ずる者は幸いである」と。
Jesus said, blessed are those who do not see yet believe.

肉眼は宇宙空間の遠方を見ることはできませんが、”意識眼”はそれができるのです。
For the physical eyes cannot see the distances of the Cosmos, but the conscious eyes can.

そこでこれからは機械装置のかわりに意識を用いて、これまで見えなかった物を見るために、機械でやった事柄を心にさせようというわけです。
Let us now do with our sense mind what we did with the instrument thus allowing it to see that which has heretofore been invisible, replacing the instrument with consciousness.

そしてわれわれが望遠鏡を通じて見た物を信じたように、意識でもってこれと同じことをしっかりやる必要があります。
And as we believed that which we saw through the telescope, let us do the same just as firmly with consciousness.
