DISCIPLINE OF THE SENSES

How is one to discipline the senses?

The sense of sight which guides itself by effects, as it is an effect of consciousness, seldom takes the time to study the cause back of what it sees.

And by now if you have learned the first lesson well, there should be a desire to know the purpose for which each form has been created.

And this can be revealed to the mind when an effect is viewed with the second sight, so to speak, or with the sight of consciousness.

And as stated before ― single sighted.

A child in a class room is a good example.

A good student follows the instructions of the teacher without having any opinions of his own during the time that the lessons are being given.

After this he tests the information given to see if it is correct and where it fits into his own life.

While another student will speculate on what a teacher is going to say, thereby he is ahead of what is being said.

And he misses important points and has no clear knowledge of the subject.

The first student profits from the instructions.

The second one does not.

In the case of the attentive student ― he humbled his mind to listen, but the second one became aggressive and lost the valuable points.

The mind, in order to learn from the consciousness must humble itself to get each point in a clear manner.

For this instruction comes only by impressions.

Whether observing an object or listening to sounds, impressions will be given independent of the mind.

Consciousness is not governed by habits like the mind is.

i.e. When I made the first contact with a space person my mind wanted to know many things, especially things that conformed with my habitual life.

I had to control my mind and remain silent so that I could receive all that he wished to impress upon my mind.

Had I speculated on what was to be given, I would have missed the significants of the meeting.

In later contacts when I was given the privilege of asking questions, I did.

But in each case I had to wait for that privilege to not interfere with what was being given.

Many things did not fit into my way of life at the time but I was patient and trusted the ones who were giving me the knowledge.

At first it was like a puzzle but at the end when all parts were put together the picture was clear.

Had I been impatient and interrupted the individuals who were giving me the information I would have lost the precious jewels and had nothing but confusion.

As I became as a child to the instructor, I was given many privileges and I am now living in the Cosmic Kingdom instead of the world that 1 did before.

The consciousness is a cosmic teacher and unless the student does as I have done in this case, he shall have nothing but confusion in the end.

Many people have asked me why I did not ask this or that, trifling things in most cases, but had I done so I would not have the knowledge that I have today.

Jesus said, lest you become as a little child you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Which is the kingdom of cause.

And the Bible states that there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed in time.

Patience and faith are the foundation of such a reward.

For those who become impatient ― become shipwreck.

The Bible also states that man has many talents.

So we will observe the talents with which the Infinite man is endowed.
And the important part which each one plays in the cosmic plan where men are equal.
